5. Wait four minutes, and then use the OSM Low-Level Link application to verify the state of the
affected processor, as follows:
a. Restart the OSM Low-Level Link application and then log on to the system.
NOTE: An already-running instance of the OSM Low-Level Link cannot be used here
because it may show incorrect processor status. Instead, restart the OSM Low-Level Link
application and log onto the system to start a new instance.
b. Click Processor Status.
c. Verify that the processor is listed in the Processor Status dialog box. If it is still not listed,
Go to Step 2 of this procedure and repeat Steps 2 through 5.
If it is still not listed after attempting Steps 2 through 5 a maximum of five times,
power down the system, and then power it up again as described in “Powering On
the System From a No Power State” (page 177).
6. When all processors are displayed in the OSM Low-Level Link, wait five minutes before starting
your system as described in “Starting a System” (page 182).
NOTE: If you have performed this procedure, but are unable to have all installed processors
displayed in the OSM Low-Level Link, contact your service provider.
Power Cycling a NonStop NS2000 Series, NS2100, NS2200 Series, NS2300, or
NS2400 Series Processor
To use Integrated Lights-Out (iLO) to cycle power on a NonStop NS2400 series, NS2300, NS2200
series, NS2100, or NS2000 series processor that has not come up, follow these procedures.
For NonStop NS2000:
1. From the system console, use Internet Explorer to connect to the iLO IP address associated
with the processor to be power cycled.
2. Power cycle the processor as follows:
a. Click the Virtual Devices tab.
b. Click Power and Reset in the left pane.
c. Select Power Off.
d. Click Submit.
e. Click OK to dismiss the dialog box warning about shutting down the OS.
f. Wait 30 seconds.
g. Select Power On.
h. Click Submit.
i. Click OK to dismiss the dialog box asking if you wish to continue.
3. Wait 4 minutes, and then use the OSM Low-Level Link application to verify the state of
the affected processor:
a. Restart the OSM Low-Level Link application.
b. Click Processor Status.
c. Verify that the processor is listed in the Processor Status dialog box. If it is still not
listed,
Go to Step 1 of this procedure and repeat the whole procedure.
If it is still not listed after attempting the procedure a maximum of five times,
power down the system, and then power it up again as described in “Powering
On the System From a No Power State” (page 177).
