When to Use This Chapter
This chapter describes the system enclosures, the system organization, numbering and labeling,
and how to identify components in a NonStop BladeSystem or a NonStop NS-series system. For
detailed information about system hardware organization, refer to the appropriate planning guide
for your NonStop system.
NonStop BladeSystems
NonStop BladeSystems NB50000c, NB50000c-cg, NB54000c, NB54000c-cg,
NB56000c, and NB56000c-cg Modular Hardware Components
Hardware for NonStop BladeSystem NB50000c, NB50000c-cg, NB54000c, NB54000c-cg,
NB56000c, and NB56000c-cg is implemented in modules or enclosures that are installed in
modular cabinets. The systems include these hardware components:
• HP NonStop BladeSystem c7000 enclosure, which contains these components:
Server blades (up to 8)◦
◦ Six power supplies for the NB50000c, NB54000c, or NB56000c; six DC power supplies
for the NB50000c-cg, NB54000c-cg, or NB56000c-cg
◦ Ten active cool fans
