Updated links to Sun Microsystems J2SE documentation from version 1.4.2 to 1.5.0
Removed TNS/R system specific information, except in the Migrating Applications
section. This manual documents use only on TNS/E systems.
Added updated information about migrating application under Migrating Applications.
Added the Sound-related packages to the list of features implemented according to the
standards for Headless support. Also, updated the topic Headless Support.
Removed SQLJ from the list of associated Java based products.
Changed the remote debugger tested with NonStop Server for Java from Borland
JBuilder to Eclipse 3.1 as described in information about remote debugging.
Updated the information about Garbage Collection under Parallel Collector.
Added the -agent:libname option as a way to run the HPROF Java profiler, under
The -agent:libname Option.
Removed the NonStop Server for Java 5 implementation-specific options for the
-Xrunhprof command for application profiling by taking CPU samples. The removed
options are:
period=num ms
only=thread-name
skip=thread-name
from=full-method-name
fexit=full-method-name
upto=full-method-name
toexit=full-method-name
Documentation Changes
Changed terminology and glossary definitions as follows:
Updated the current product references from NonStop Server for Java 4 to
NonStop Server for Java 5 because of the rebasing to J2SE 5.0.
Changed the references to the Sun Java platform and products to use J2SE 5.0
terminology as described in the Sun release note Version 1.5.0 or 5.0?
(http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/relnotes/version-5.0.html).
Replaced the terms "Software Development Kit" and "SDK" terminology with
JDK to be consistent with J2SE 5.0 terminology.
