Running the Setup Script
The script scans the servlet.config file for the installation version. After
checking the version of an existing NSJSP installation, the script performs one of
the following actions:
Installing NSJSP for the first time
The setup script performs a fresh installation if it does not detect any previous
installation of NSJSP.
Upgrading NSJSP
The setup script detects any previous version of NSJSP running on the
system. While upgrading from a previous version of NSJSP, the setup script
creates a backup of the previous installation and indicates the backup location.
After creating a backup, the installation continues as a fresh installation.
Reinstalling NSJSP
The setup script performs a fresh installation or overwrites an existing
installation when it detects the NSJSP installation version as 6.0. The following
message is displayed on the screen:
You have chosen to reinstall NSJSP 6.0.13
Please select from the following:
1) Make a fresh installation. The existing NSJSP will be
backed up and the product will be installed anew
2) Overwrite the existing installation. Only certain
configuration files will be overwritten
Please enter your choice (no default):
Press key 1 for the setup script to take a backup of the previous
installation and to start a fresh installation.
Press key 2 for the setup script to determine the configuration files to be
overwritten and to take a backup of the files that need to be overwritten.
The setup script creates a backup of the previous installation and creates the
/servlet_jsp directory in iTPWS_INSTALL_DIR. The setup script modifies
certain files depending on the input you provide. All the required files are copied in
the directory iTPWS_INSTALL_DIR/servlet_jsp.
