Manager
If the role you specified already exists, then the following message is
displayed, else the role is successfully created and a confirmatory message
is displayed:
The role observer already exists in the document.
3. Add a new user
a. Select this option to add a new user to the <NSJSP manager
installation directory>/conf/nsjsp-users.xml file and
generate an encrypted password for the same. Enter the name of an user
you want to create at the following prompt:
Enter name of the user:observer
If the user you specified already exists, then the following message is
displayed:
The user observer already exists in the document.
b. Now enter the password, the algorithm to encrypt the password, and assign
roles for the user you created in the following prompt:
Enter password for the user:
Re-enter the password:
In case the passwords you provide mismatch, then the following message is
displayed and the next set of instructions are displayed only when your
passwords match:
Passwords do not match. Please retry
Enter password for the user:
Re-enter the password:
Specify the algorithm you want to use to encrypt your password in the
following prompt, else enter none:
Enter the digest algorithm. Enter 'none' if password is
to be retained without encryption (example: MD5,
SHA):MD5
Assign the roles to the user you created in the following prompt:
