The client is the entry point for the application, and the interface between the user and the NonStop
Server(s). The users will use the client to connect to the NonStop Server to load the Measure files and is
also responsible for monitoring the loading activities on one or more NonStop Servers as well as for
downloading the consolidated file from the NonStop Server and loading data into the SQL database.
Once data has been loaded into the SQL Server Database, the data is available to all the NonStop SPAM
Clients, where the users can select the data for which the reports/charts are to be generated

1.3 SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
The user should read the following section before starting the install process to understand the basic
requirements and to make the proper preparations, Network configuration details are needed in order
to complete the install therefore it is important to have this information ready and available before
starting the install process.
HARDWARE & SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:
Supported Operating System
Windows 7/8/Server 2003/Server 2008 R2/XP
Hardware
HP NonStop Server with minimum OS release as:
H06.10 onward
J06.03 onward
Recommended PC configuration (but not mandatory)
1 GB RAM minimum (3 GB or more is recommended)
CPU Speed 1.5GHz (Dual-Core 2 GHz class or faster)
Software
Measure
SQL server 2005 and later
Microsoft Excel 2003 and later
Various Microsoft components are required to run NonStop SPAM; these include Office 2003 and
later, .NET version 2.0, and a SQL Server. These required components are available Online. Their
dependencies may include Visual J# Redistributable and the Windows Installer 3.1/4.5 Redistributable
depending on the Environment the User has.
The product has been tested on the various versions of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and later.
NOTE: If a SQL Server 2008R2/2012 Express is used there is an 8GB/10GB limitation for each individual
Database used in NonStop SPAM. However, NonStop SPAM will automatically route data into new
databases and assign a sequential number to it in the NonStop SPAM Calendar.
