CHAPTER 2: INSTALLATION

The NonStop SPAM Installer is a self-extracting Install Shield Wizard that contains NonStop SPAM and
the host components. The following Windows components will need to be present before NonStop
SPAM Installation. The installation of NonStop SPAM Installer alone will take 5 to 10 minutes depending
on the OS with an additional ten minutes to register and activate.
Windows Required Components:
1. Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0
Sub-Requirement: Microsoft Visual J# 2.0
2. Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express
Sub-Requirement: Windows Installer 3.1 Redistributable
OR
Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 - Express
Sub-Requirement: Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SP2
Sub-Requirement: Windows Installer 4.5 Redistributable
Sub-Requirement: Windows Hotfix
OR
Microsoft SQL Server 2012 - Express.
SUB-REQUIREMENTS: LocalDB does not require any .NET Framework installation.
SUB-REQUIREMENTS: SQL Server Express (with database engine only) can work with either
.NET 3.5 SP1 or .NET 4
