Server Handling
As the demands of your application increase still further, you can add more processors
to your Integrity NonStop server, attach more clients and disk drives to these
processors, and start additional copies of the servers in the new processors.
Distributed Processing
In the preceding example, the server application is a local application; all processing
takes place at a single node. The capabilities of the application servers makes it
possible to distribute the components of an application across multiple nodes.
Figure 3-11 on page 3-16 shows an example of a distributed application. In the
example, processing takes place in two separate nodes. Clients on each node can
access application components on the other node remotely.
