Configuring Open SCSI Devices
This section describes the software and hardware tasks required for configuring devices
on the Open SCSI bus.
Viewing Configuration Information About Open
SCSI Devices
You use the Subsystem Control Facility (SCF) INFO SCSI command to display
configuration information about Open SCSI devices. For complete details about the
INFO SCSI command including command syntax, see the SCF Reference Manual for
the Storage Subsystem.
Examples

To display a summary report for Open SCSI device $DEV0, enter:
-> INFO $DEV0

To display a detailed report for Open SCSI device $DEV0, enter:
-> INFO $DEV0, DETAIL
Example of an INFO SCSI Summary Report
The command INFO SCSI $DEV0 produces a summary report such as the following.
This report shows that $DEV0:
•
Has a primary access path controlled by the PMF CRU in slot 50 of group 01
•
Has a backup access path controlled by the PMF CRU in slot 55 of group 01
•
Has SCSI ID 0
•
Has logical unit number (LUN) 0
•
Is controlled by an Open SCSI I/O process (IOP) created from the program file
