Altering Open SCSI Attribute Values
Before you use the SCF ALTER SCSI command, review the ALTER SCSI
considerations in the SCF Reference Manual for the Storage Subsystem.
You use the ALTER SCSI command to change the configured attribute values for Open
SCSI devices attached to your system. To display the results of the changes you have
made, see Viewing Configuration Information About Open SCSI Devices
on page 5-1.
For a description of the command attributes for Open SCSI devices, including command
syntax, see the ALTER SCSI command in the SCF Reference Manual for the Storage
Subsystem.
Examples
To change the value of the SCSI ID attribute for the Open SCSI device $DEV1 and
then check to make sure that the change took place, you issue commands such as:
-> ALTER SCSI $DEV1, SCSIID 5
-> INFO SCSI $DEV1
