WRITEREAD Procedure
As soon as OSI/TS receives a CR-TPDU with matching TSELs, it completes the
WRITEREAD call but does not send a response to the remote peer. Figure 7-9
shows the contents of the buffer that OSI/TS returns to the application.
The following subsections explain the contents of the buffer in Figure 7-9
.
Length Indicator (Octet 2)
This field indicates the length of the negotiation-parameter field, and is itself one
octet. If set to 0, there are no negotiation parameters.
Negotiation Parameters
This is a variable-length field that OSI/TS uses to return connection-negotiation
parameters received from the remote transport entity. Figure 7-10 shows the
organization of the field. Table 7-5 lists some of the connection-negotiation
parameters that OSI/TS delivers, provided they are received in the CR-TPDU.
For each parameter, the value of the type field is expressed in both octal and
hexadecimal notation.
