Interfaces
The OSI/TS subsystem has three interfaces that allow users to control communication
over OSI networks:
The application interface permits user-written application programs to act as
transport service users. (OSI/TS creates subdevices to support transport
connections.) This interface uses standard file-system procedures and is described
in this manual.
The management programming interface (also called the programmatic interface)
permits user-written management programs to configure the subsystem and to
