DSP Component
Returning to the AFI example, an AFI value of 39 indicates that the addressing authority
is ISO DCC. The ISO DCC entry in Table 2-2 indicates that the IDI is exactly three
digits long and specifies the data country code.
DSP Component
The DSP (domain-specific part) values are determined by the addressing authority
identified in the IDI field (shown in Table 2-1
); the syntax format is determined by the
AFI value. There are four types of DSP syntax, as follows:
