Message Descriptions
Recovery. Check the Pathway log file for any error message related to failure in the
start of a transaction. Isolate and correct the problem within the Java program, using
the Pathway log file and the stack trace information in
error-loc
to locate the
problem. Alternatively, correct the problem in the SCREEN COBOL program and
reconvert the application.

Cause. The applet got error while loading an HTML page for already loaded base
screen.
Effect. The operation fails.
Recovery. Check the stack trace to find where the URL path got corrupted.

Cause. The IS NUMERIC clause was called for a computational data item. The data
item cannot be computational.
Effect. The applet stops.
Recovery. Isolate and correct the problem within the Java program, using the stack
trace information in
error-loc
to locate the problem. Alternatively, correct the
problem in the SCREEN COBOL program and reconvert the application.

Cause. An error occurred while retrieving user profile data from the profile database
server.
Effect. The applet does not start.
Recovery. Check the Java console for additional information the problem. Isolate and
correct the problem within the Java program. Alternatively, correct the problem in the
SCREEN COBOL program and reconvert the application. Follow the guidelines in
Section 3, Logon Security and User Profiles, on how to set up the user profile database
and server.
