Effect
The START RDF or TAKEOVER operation is aborted.
Recovery

about understanding and correcting process errors, see the Guardian Procedure Errors and
Messages Manual. Correct the error and reenter the START RDF or TAKEOVER command.
LIST not allowed when RDF is not running.
Cause
LIST UPDATERFILEOPENS command was executed when RDF is not running.
Effect
LIST UPDATERFILEOPENS command fails.
Recovery
Re-issue the command after starting RDF using the ‘START RDF’ command in RDFCOM.
LIST not allowed when RDF Updaters are not running.
Cause
LIST UPDATERFILEOPENS command was executed when RDF Updaters are not running.
Effect
LIST UPDATERFILEOPENS command fails.
Recovery
Re-issue the command after starting RDF Updaters using 'START UPDATE' command.
LIST UPDATERFILEOPENS accepts only RDF Updater processes.
Cause
The process name passed to the LIST UPDATERFILEOPENS command is not an Updater process.
Effect
LIST UPDATERFILEOPENS command fails.
Recovery
Re-issue the command by providing the correct Updater process name as argument.
Local image file filename is missing
filename
is the name of the image trail file.
Cause
The COPYAUDIT command could not find the specific image file on the local image trail, although
this file should exist on disk.
Effect
The COPYAUDIT command aborts.
Recovery
There is no recovery for this problem. You must perform the database synchronization without
the help of RDFCOM.
Mapping string mapping-string is invalid in the MAPFILE filename
Expected * in the filename portion in subvolume-name
mapping-string
is the erroneous mapping string specified in the mapfile.
filename
is the name of the updater mapfile specified in the updater configuration.
