LISTDEV Command
LISTDEV Command
The LISTDEV command displays configured information about all processes that have
a device type and that are known to SCF, in the order in which they were configured
and as recorded in the destination control table.
OUT
file-spec
causes any SCF output generated for this command to be directed to the specified
file. The variable
file-spec
is defined on page 5-9.
$
device
is the device name or device-name template of the devices for which information is
to be displayed. The variable $
device
is defined on page 5-2.
subsystem
is the name of the subsystem for which a list of logical devices is desired.
Subsystem names are listed in Table 5-1 on page 5-10.
TYPE
type

subtype

causes all logical devices of the given device type (and subtype, if specified) to be
included in the list. Supported subsystems are listed on Table 5-1 on page 5-10.
Specifying any negative value (for example, -1) in
subtype
results in a list of all
devices of the value specified in
type
.

LDev The logical-device number.
Name The logical-device name.
PPID The primary processor number and PIN of the specified device.
BPID The backup processor number and PIN of the specified device
