Cause. SCF is expecting the named DEFINE to be a search DEFINE.
Effect. SCF waits for the next command.
Recovery. Delete the named DEFINE or change it to type SEARCH.
20121
Cause. A failure has occurred while adding the named DEFINE.
Effect. SCF waits for the next command, or SCF terminates, depending on the
error-num
.
Recovery. Refer to the

for recovery from
the DEFINE error. Then retry the command.

Cause. A failure has occurred while setting attributes for the named DEFINE.

Cause. The device’s I/O process (IOP) has been configured improperly. As a result,
the device’s IOP is down and is awaiting a STOP command. A message in the EMS
log should indicate the cause of the configuration error.
Effect. SCF waits for the next command.
Recovery. Stop the device’s IOP, correct the configuration, and restart it.
