Common Error Messages
-00002
Cause. A command has been issued and received by the named subsystem. The
execution of the command is pending, or is in progress. This warning can be issued by
a subsystem if the execution of a command is taking a long time to complete.
Effect. SCF waits for the next command.
Recovery. Informational message only; no corrective action is needed.
-00003
Cause. The command is invalid for the current state of the object. A command has
been issued and the current state of object-name prevents processing of the
command. This error is returned whenever the state-transition specification is not met.
Effect. SCF waits for the next command.
Recovery. Ensure that object-name is in a state compatible with the command to be
issued.
-00004
Cause. A command has been issued and the object contained in the command buffer
is not a valid object type for this subsystem.
Effect. SCF waits for the next command.
Recovery. Refer to the SCF reference manual for this subsystem for information
about how that particular subsystem supports the command and its associated object
types.
-00005
Cause. A command has been issued that is unknown to the subsystem that owns the
specified object.
subsystem {E|W}-00002 Command was accepted and is being
processed by object-name.
subsystem {E|W}-00003 Command not allowed while object in
summary-state state for object-name.
subsystem {E|W}-00004 Command/object type combination is not
valid for this subsystem.
subsystem {E|W}-00005 Command is not supported by this
subsystem.
