Common Error Messages
-00840
Cause. The TRACE device name specified in the MANAGER or OBJNAME token is
invalid.
Effect. SCF waits for the next command.
Recovery. As described under If You Have to Call Your Service Provider on page B-2,
save pertinent information and contact your service provider.
-00841
Cause. The TRACE device name specified in the MANAGER or OBJNAME token
cannot be found. The TRACE device is a logical device (LDEV), but its entry cannot
be found in the system table.
Effect. SCF waits for the next command.
Recovery. As described under If You Have to Call Your Service Provider on page B-2,
save pertinent information and contact your service provider.
-00845
Cause. The specified TRACE file has the wrong file code.
Effect. SCF waits for the next command.
Recovery. Specify a file with a file code of 0 (zero) and retry the request.
-00846
Cause. The trace has failed. An internal Subsystem Control Point (SCP) trace error
has been encountered.
Effect. SCP terminates.
Recovery. Restart SCP and report the error to your service provider. See If You Have
to Call Your Service Provider on page B-2.
