Common Error Messages
-00847
Cause. The TRACE target process responded incorrectly to a DEVICEINFO request.
Effect. The subsystem process terminates.
Recovery. Ask your system manager to restart the process for object-name ; then
retry the command. If this attempt fails, contact your service provider, as described
under If You Have to Call Your Service Provider on page B-2.
-00848
Cause. A file-system error occurred when the TRACE collector attempted to initiate a
trace.
Effect. SCF waits for the next command.
Recovery. Stop the current trace, start a new trace, and report this error to your
service provider, as described under If You Have to Call Your Service Provider on
page B-2.
-00849
Cause. The TRACE collector cannot be opened because a prior TRACE command is
pending.
Effect. SCF waits for the next command.
Recovery. Wait a few seconds and retry the request.
-00850
Cause. The version of the subsystem control point (SCP) is not compatible with that of
the TRACE collector.
Effect. SCF waits for the next command.
Recovery. Use versions of the SCP and the TRACE collector that are part of the
same RVU.
