Requirements for Clustering
Requirements for Clustering
Configuring an Integrity NonStop NS-series system for inclusion in a ServerNet cluster
requires a minimum level of software, hardware, and firmware. You connect the cluster
switches to the cluster plug-in cards (PICs) in the processor switches (p-switches) in
the Integrity NonStop NS-series system. Use the Add Node to ServerNet Cluster
guided procedure.
Software Requirements
Install all software before connecting any cables or making any hardware changes.
Before you add an Integrity NonStop NS-series system as a node in a ServerNet
cluster:
Check that all required software listed in Table 1-1 for H-series is installed. These
software components are included in the H06.03 release version update (RVU)
with the exception of the Expand/ServerNet profile, which is an optional product on
the site update tape (SUT).
Depending on your cluster configuration, you might also need to install G-series
software on any NonStop S-series nodes in the ServerNet cluster.
