Open System Management (OSM) Support for
NonStop-Series Nodes in a ServerNet Cluster
For an Integrity NonStop NS-series node, the attributes and actions for the cluster
switches are the same as described in the existing manuals and the OSM online help:
For detailed information about using OSM for Integrity NonStop NS-series nodes, refer
to the OSM online help.
Checking the Cluster PIC
Locate the cluster PIC. For example:
1. In the tree pane of the OSM Service Connection, double-click the system resource.
2. Double-click the Fabric Group 100.
3. Double-click the Internal ServerNet X Fabric or Internal ServerNet Y Fabric.
4. Double-click the Processor Switch.
5. Select the ServerNet PIC in slot 2.
Replacing the Cluster PIC in the P-Switch
To change the type of cluster PIC in the p-switch from MMF or SMF or to replace the
PIC, use the Replace action of the ServerNet PIC in slot 2 of the p-switch. The
Replace MSEB action documented in the existing manuals is not available for Integrity
NonStop NS-series nodes.
Adding a Cluster PIC
1. Determine if you need an MMF PIC or SMF PIC.
2. In slot 2 of the p-switch, insert the PIC until it is fully seated.
3. Check that the green power LED on the PIC is lit, and that the amber fault LED is
not lit.
4. Refer to Adding a NonStop-Series Node to a ServerNet Cluster on page 1-6. Do
not connect the cables until instructed to do so by the guided procedure.
