OBEYVOL Command The OBEYVOL command sets the default volume and subvolume for expansion of
OBEY file-name s.
OBEYVOL [ $ volume-name [ . subvolume-name ] ]
[ subvolume-name ]
volume-name
is a Guardian volume name. The initial setting is the default volume used by the
command interpreter when HLSTAP was started. If $volume-name is omitted,
the previous setting is used.
subvolume-name
is a Guardian subvolume name. The initial setting is the default subvolume used
by the command interpreter when HLSTAP was started. If subvolume-name is
omitted, the previous setting is used.
Consideration
If both $volume-name and subvolume-name are omitted, their values are restored
to their setting at HLSTAP startup.
Examples
This command sets the volume and subvolume for file expansion causing the
command OBEY TEXAS to invoke $BIGD.DALLAS.TEXAS:
@OBEYVOL $BIGD.DALLAS
This command sets the volume for file expansion leaving the subvolume default
unchanged:
@OBEYVOL $BIGD
This command resets the volume and subvolume for file-name expansion to startup
defaults:
@OBEYVOL
