Return and Error Codes
104706 Tandem Computers Incorporated A–9
13 RC-RESOURCE-IN-USE
Cause. An attempt was made to allocate a LU that is already allocated and that does
not use pipelining.
Effect. The verb request is rejected.
Recovery. If the situation should never arise based on application design, examine the
application program for logic errors. If the problem is a contention problem, then
retry the request later.
14 RC-FILE-NOT-SUITABLE
Cause. An attempt is made to open a session on a LU that is not defined for the
SNALU PROTOCOL. It may indicate a naming problem or an error in the
configuration of the Tandem SNA access method. If the access method is SNAX/XF,
then the SNAX/XF LU is incorrectly configured. If the access method is SNAX/CDF,
then the APPL defined to the SNAX/CDF process is incorrectly configured.
Effect. The verb request is rejected.
Recovery. Select an appropriate LU or correct the configuration of the LU in question.
15 RC-RESERVED-15
Cause. Not applicable.
Effect. Not applicable.
Recovery. Not applicable.
16 RC-POSSIBLE-DATA-LOSS
Cause. A process switch has occurred in the SNAX/HLS server. Data queued in
extended data segments is not checkpointed.
Effect. Possible data loss.
Recovery. This condition can be cleared only by deallocating (HLS-DEALLOCATE or
CLOSE-SESSION verbs) and re-establishing the session. The session partners can, if
the rules permit, exchange sequence numbers to aid in recovery.
