This appendix lists common SNAX/HLS log messages. For information on messages
that are not listed here, refer to the Communications Management Programming Manual.
SNAX/HLS log file messages have the following format:

The log file messages are listed below, showing the
object
name
and
message-text
portion. Valid SNAX/HLS objects are process name and session
name. Therefore, the log messages are grouped by process or session name and then
ordered alphabetically by
message-text
.

rejected; file has invalid internal format
Cause. Your request to use a charactermap file was rejected because the file is
inappropriate.
Effect. The process terminates.
Recovery. Examine the sequence used to initiate the process and make sure you are
specifying the correct file.

: Attempt to specify
volume name
as swapvol rejected
because it is not a local disc volume
Cause. The disk volume specified as swap volume in the configuration parameters was
not local.
Effect. The disk volume you specified is ignored and the already established swap
volume is retained.
Recovery. Either accept the established swap volume or abort the process and restart it
with a suitable swap volume name.
This message is typical of a process started over the network.
