The purpose of SNAX/HLS (High-Level Support) is to allow Tandem application
programs to communicate with SNA devices and host software. The purpose of this
manual is to provide SNAX/HLS support information to those responsible for
maintaining SNAX/HLS. Specifically, this manual enables you to:
Identify typical problems between an application and SNAX/HLS
Perform SNAX/HLS trace analysis using HLSTAP
Audience The audience for this manual is the support person (for example, a system analyst)
responsible for maintaining SNAX/HLS.

The SNAX/HLS Diagnosis and Support Manual is a new manual. However, the
information contained in this manual was originally found in the SNAX/HLS Manual.
The SNAX/HLS Manual was reorganized into three smaller manuals targeted to
different types of users. The three new SNAX/HLS manuals that replace the
SNAX/HLS Manual are:
SNAX/HLS Diagnosis and Support Manual for those who are responsible for
supporting SNAX/HLS.
SNAX/HLS Configuration and Control Manual for those who are responsible for
installing SNAX/HLS and operating HLSCOM (which is used to monitor and
control SNAX/HLS). It is also a planning guide as well as a general introduction
to SNAX/HLS.
SNAX/HLS Application Programming Manual for those who are responsible for
writing applications that use SNAX/HLS.
