Section 11, Managing
Database Applications
Added the subsection Writing SQL/MX Applications to
Recover From Temporary Network or Hardware Service
Interruptions on page 11-1 to describe how SQL/MX
applications can be written to recover from temporary
network or hardware service interruptions.
Added information to specify that, when moving a
program from a development system to a production
system, module definitions must be compiled on the
production system under Moving Programs From
Development to Production on page 11-3.
Removed the subsection “Moving a Program With
Compiled Modules” and replaced it with the new
subsection Reasons Not to Move a Program With
Compiled Modules on page 11-4.
Revised the information about moving a program with
compiled modules under Name Resolution on
page 11-5.
Removed the guidelines from Versioning Issues for a
Distributed Database Environment on page 11-8 and
added a cross reference to the SQL/MX Database and
Application Migration Guide for this information.
Clarified that a program should not be moved with
compiled modules under Running Applications on a
Remote Node on page 11-9.
