Privileges Required to Execute Utilities
Privileges Required to Execute Utilities
For utilities that require a Super ID, the use of user aliases is permitted.
Utility Privileges Required
BACKUP Super ID or the object owner.
DOWNGRADE Super ID.
DUP Have the SELECT privilege on the source table and be the
owner of the schema where the target table will reside.
FASTCOPY SELECT privilege on the source table.
SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE and DELETE privilege on the target
table
FIXUP operation Super ID.
GIVE SCHEMA Schema owner or the security administrator.
GOAWAY operation Super ID.
import Have ALL privileges.
INFO operation Any privilege level.
MODIFY Schema owner or object owner or super ID.
mxexportddl Super ID.
mximportddl Super ID.
MXGNAMES Have READ/WRITE access to the Guardian subvolume where
you are executing MXGNAMES.
POPULATE INDEX Have ALL privileges.
PURGEDATA Have ALL privileges.
RECOVER Have the corresponding utility privileges for the utility to be
recovered.
RECOVER SCHEMA Schema owner or the security administrator.
RESTORE Schema owner.
UPGRADE Super ID.
VERIFY operation Have the SELECT privilege on all columns of the table.
