Monitoring TFDS Activity
You should monitor TFDS activity for any indication of a failure in your system,
including a processor halt. Monitoring TFDS consists of several common tasks:
Viewing TFDS Events
Viewing Processor Status
Viewing Processing History

Viewing TFDS Events
TFDS records failure events in the EMS log when failures occur in your system. Failure
events contain information such as the software product number and processor halt
code involved in the failure.
To view TFDS ($ZDMP) events, use an event viewer such as WebViewPoint or the
OSM EMS event viewer. For descriptions of TFDS events, see Appendix A, EMS
Messages and Templates.
Note. To obtain all pertinent events related to TFDS, filter the DMP, CPU, and NSC
subsystems simultaneously.
