3 Using TFDSCOM
This section explains the TFDSCOM user interface and describes each of the
TFDSCOM commands. These topics are addressed:

Starting TFDSCOM
At the TACL prompt, start the TFDSCOM conversational interface:
TACL 1> TFDSCOM
Your terminal displays a message similar to this:
Tandem Failure Data System - T6523H02 - (01MAY2005) System \system-name
Conversational Interface - (C)1992 Tandem (C)2005 Hewlett-Packard Development
Company, L.P.
TFDSCOM>
If the TFDS process ($ZDMP) is not running, the user interface issues this message:
TFDS monitor is not running
When the TFDS monitor is not running, only these TFDSCOM commands are valid:

•
STATS HELPERS
•
STATUS HELPERS
•
TFDS STOP HELPERS
•
TRACEHELPER
•
VERSION
To exit TFDSCOM, use the EXIT command.

To view online help for TFDS commands, enter one of these commands at the
TFDSCOM prompt:
