TFDSCOM Commands
Example
BURSTSUPPRESSION OFF
CANCELBACKUP
The CANCELBACKUP command cancels a specific backup request.
bkup-req
represents an active backup request number. (The backup request number is the
same as the number of the incident record.)
Guidelines
You can use the abbreviation ca in place of CANCELBACKUP.
Use the BACKUP STATUS command to determine the number of the active
backup requests that you want to cancel.
Example
CANCELBACKUP 34
CLOSE
The CLOSE command deletes an incident from the incident database as well as any
related dump file or event log.
rec-num
represents the number of an incident database record to be deleted. To determine
record numbers, use the REPORT command.
Guidelines
You can use the abbreviation cl in place of CLOSE.
Root incidents (the first occurrence of an incident) cannot be closed because
TFDS uses the root incidents for its rediscovery.
CANCELBACKUP bkup-req
CLOSE rec-num
Note. Do not use this command unless there are many duplicate incidents in the incident
database. Each time an incident is rediscovered, a dial-out event is created that contains all
incident numbers, dates, and times of previous incidents that match. This information can be
useful to your service provider. If possible, leave all incidents encountered in the incident
database.
