TFDSCOM Commands
tape-unit
represents the name of a local or remote tape drive. If tape-unit is not specified,
the tape drive selection is set to “Not Assigned.”
Guidelines
You can use the abbreviation ta in place of TAPE.
When TFDS starts up, if a tape drive is not specified, the system is scanned for a
tape unit:
°
If a suitable tape drive is found, this message appears in the TFDSCOM
history display:
Tape assigned is $tape-unit—config file needs to be saved.
°
If a suitable unit is not found, the value is set to “Not Assigned.”
An AUTOBACKUP cannot occur if the value is set to “Not Assigned.”
Example
TAPE $TAPE1
TASKS
The TASKS command displays information about TFDS tasks currently running.
Guideline
The BURST SUPPRESSION task is the main task of interest.
Example
This example shows the output of a TASKS command:

Symptom String first start last count
HP.TT001H01.TESTn.TSTRTLC.00102 24Mar 08:55 24Mar 08:55 24Mar 08:56 3 3

The task will end IF there are no more duplicate incidents detected
The incident that was duplicated is HP.TT001H01.TESTn.TSTRTLC.00102
