Obtaining TMF Event Messages
When a TMF process reports a TMF event to the local EMS collector, a TMF event
message is logged to a disk file. A program can specify the file where TMF event
messages are logged. A TMF event message is obtained when:
1. A program opens an EMS consumer distributor and sends it an SPI GETEVENT
command.
2. The consumer distributor uses the SPI procedures to read the GETEVENT
command, accesses the disk file where the event message is logged, and encodes
a response.
3. The consumer distributor sends the response, including the TMF event message,
to the program that requested it.
Sources of TMF Event Messages
