Archive Tape Errors and Warnings
8070 Tape format is bad (An end volume label was found where a file label

The tape format is invalid. This could be caused by corruption of the tape, dirty
tape drive heads, faulty tape drives, or a software bug in the dump or restore
program.
8071 Tape format is bad (A file label was not found).
The tape format is invalid. This could be caused by corruption of the tape, dirty
tape drive heads, faulty tape drives, or a software bug in the dump or restore

8072 Tape format is bad (End file label length is bad).
The end file label is invalid. This could be caused by corruption of the tape,
dirty tape drive heads, faulty tape drives, or a software bug in the dump or
restore program.
8100 This program does not understand Archive tape format version
ZART-TKN-FORMATVERSION (ZART-TKN-FORMATVERSIONNAME).
The tape was made with an RVU of the dump process that is incompatible with
the RVU of the restore process being used to read it.
8101 An EOF mark was found where an Archive volume label was
expected.
The restore process rewinds and unloads the tape, then prompts for another
tape.
8102 Both Archive begin volume label sets were bad.
Duplicate volume label sets were both invalid due to parity or checksum errors.
8103 The tape was not positioned at the load point.
The tape is not positioned at the load point.
8104 Unable to recognize the first volume label record.
The tape format is invalid.
8106 Unable to recognize the tape.
The tape is unrecognizable. This could be caused by mounting a tape that does
not contain an audit dump or online dump, by parity or checksum errors, or by a
corrupted tape.
