Using (TPDC)
This section provides the operational details on the command and control of TPDC H02
1-5 Configuration Defaults Settings
To change and activate any of the TPDC settings in the TPDCCONF file do the following;
a) stop TPDC (i.e. obey STOPTPDC),
b) edit TPDCCONF,
c) make your changes,
d) save the changes,
e) start TPDC (i.e. obey STRTTPDC).
1-5-1 Changing Listening Port
The default listening port is 9651, you can change to any available port on your NonStop.
1-6 Starting and Stopping
TPDC software is normally (i.e. the default location) on $SYSTEM.ZTPDC, but can easily run from
any location provided the configuration files are properly modified.
1-6-1 Starting
TPDC services are started by obeying the STRTTPDC file present in the installation Subvolume (i.e.
obey STRTTPDC).
1-6-2 Stopping
TPDC services are stopped by obeying the STOPTPDC file present in the installation Subvolume
(i.e obey STOPTPDC).
