Introduction
TPDC is a host-based performance collection product that automates the collection of Measure
performance data using the UI within the Performance Management Client (PMC – T5837). TPDC
normalizes data from Measure for subsequent loading, reporting and analysis via the PMC
components and a Windows based SQL database. This section describes the new features added in
this release.
1-1 What is new?
This publication has been updated to reflect the new design associated with the H02 version of the
Performance Management Client Bundle (T1220). This version of the manual is a basic re-write of
the contents. See Product Overview for details on changes, which covers the following areas;

1-2 Product Overview
The Tandem Performance Data Collector (TPDC) is the HP NonStop™ server host component for
the Performance Management Client Bundle (PC components). TPDC interfaces with Measure and
is managed and controlled via the PMC/ODB component UI for collection scheduling and loading of
Measure data to the Windows based SQL database within the PC client framework.
1-2-1 Architecture
The following reflects the full architectural overview of the Host and PC components. All reporting
and analysis functions are performed by components within the Client Layer (i.e. no reporting is
performed by the Host components).
