1-2-2 Functional Overview
TPDC provides the following major host functions in support and in concert with particular
processing requests from PMC.

Communicate with PMC
• Interface with Measure
• Interface with Pathway subsystem(s)
• Normalize the Measure data into an input file for PMC
• Handling FTP requests (via TCP IP) from PMC
• Handling file housekeeping requests from PMC
• Handling Measure data collection requests from PMC
•
Handling Pathway data collection requests from PMC
1-2-3 Security
The message protocol between PMC and TPDC provides DES encryption security of all NonStop
User ID passwords.
