TS/MP 2.5 Release Supplement
Log Event 1006 as WARNING or FATAL
The ACS subsystem is updated to log event 1006 as a WARNING message when a Pathsend
request is issued for a non running PATHMON. In the existing implementation, ACS logs it as a
FATAL message. For all other 1006 event conditions, ACS continues to log a FATAL message. For
more information on this error, see the TS/MP 2.5 System Management Manual.
New API to Obtain Current TS/MP Version
The ACS subsystem provides a new API (GETTSMPVERSION), which returns the TS/MP version
installed on the local system. For more information on this API, see the TS/MP 2.5 Pathsend and
Server Programming Manual.
Support for 64-bit Addressing
The ACS subsystem provides new APIs (SERVERCLASS_DIALOG_BEGINL64_,
SERVERCLASS_DIALOG_SENDL64_, SERVERCLASS_SENDL64_, and
SERVERCLASS_SEND_INFO64_) in this release. These APIs are used in the 64-bit programming
model. For more information on these APIs, see the TS/MP 2.5 Pathsend and Server Programming
Manual.
TS/MP Earlier Version Features
This section describes features that were introduced in earlier versions of TS/MP.
New Pathsend Limits
TS/MP contains a link-management architecture designed for the more powerful processors typically
installed on the current NonStop systems. It provides higher configuration and processing limits to
support a higher link capacity for client processes, and efficient acquisition and usage of server
processes.
TS/MP is designed without any architectural limits. However, practical limits might be lower,
depending on the physical hardware available on the system (for example, memory) or on the
file-system constraints. For a list of the configuration and processing limits, see “Configuration and
Environment Limits” (page 20).
Enhanced PATHMON/PATHCOM Components
Enhanced PATHMON and PATHCOM components are part of the TS/MP product package.
Operationally, they are similar to the existing PATHMON/PATHCOM components. In addition,
they support the following features:
Pathway Configuration Limits

ASSIGNs per Pathway (and per server-class)8191MAXASSIGNS
DEFINEs per Pathway (and per server-class)8191MAXDEFINES
In addition, the new PATHMON/PATHCOM components support wildcard characters through the
PATHCOM interface.
