Modifying the Configuration
Use the SCF ALTER command to permanently modify attribute values for the ACS subsystem. The
attribute values are:
• LOG1 or LOG2 files
• domain name
• ACSCTL file
• HIGHPIN configuration of the ROUT process
The values specified with the ALTER command remain in effect until the ALTER command is
re-executed.
Procedure:
To alter the ACS subsystem attributes:
1. Stop the Pathsend requestors.
For information on stopping Pathsend requestors, see the TS/MP 2.5 System Management
Manual.
2. Use the STOP command to stop the ACS subsystem.
For more information on the STOP command, see “STOP Command” (page 82).
3. Use the STATUS command to verify that the ACS subsystem has stopped.
For more information on this command, see “STATUS Command” (page 80).
4. Use the ALTER command to modify the subsystem configuration.
For more information on this command, see “ALTER Command” (page 68)
5. Use the START command to start the ACS subsystem.
The ACS subsystem functions are available again, according to the new (and permanent)
values you specified.
For more information on this command, see “START Command” (page 75).
NOTE: You can use the CONTROL command to modify the configuration of the ACS subsystem
without stopping it. For more information on the CONTROL command, see “CONTROL Command”
