TS/MP 2.5 System Management Manual

Monitoring Shutdown Status
You can monitor the status of the shutdown in one of two ways:
Include the STATUS AGGREGATE option in your SHUTDOWN2 command, as shown in this
example:
= SHUTDOWN2, MODE ORDERLY, STATUS AGGREGATE, UNTIL TIMEOUT
5 MINS
The STATUS AGGREGATE option tells PATHCOM to display shutdown status every 20 seconds
until shutdown completes or until the TIMEOUT option (if specified) expires.
Specify the STATUS PATHWAY command from any PATHCOM process. (For details on using
the PATHCOM that issued the SHUTDOWN2 command, see “Using PATHCOM During Shutdown
(page 49).) As an example, this command displays status every 30 seconds, up to 5 times:
= STATUS PATHWAY, COUNT 5, INTERVAL 30 SECS
As shown in Example 1 (page 47), both STATUS commands indicate:
The Pathway environment is shutting down, or shutdown has failed
The time shutdown began
Status of all entities defined in the Pathway environment
