Wild Card Support
Wild Card Support
The following server commands in PATHCOM allow management and operation of
server objects, by specifying “*” as wildcard in the object names.

•
START
•
STATS
•
STATUS
•
STOP
Default Security Attribute
In TS/MP 2.3, the default security attribute of PATHMONs is changed from “N” to “O”.

Compatibility with TS/MP 2.0
TS/MP 2.3 cannot be installed on the same system that has TS/MP 2.0 installed on it.
However, TS/MP 2.3 can be installed on the same system with Tuxedo (TS/MP 3.0)
applications.
However, the TS/MP 2.3 environment supports the following TS/MP 2.0 environment
features and functions:

Requesters and Servers: Server classes defined in TS/MP 2.3 can be accessed by
requesters from TS/MP 2.0 environments in other systems. Similarly, requesters
from a TS/MP 2.3 environment can access server classes in TS/MP 2.0
environments in other systems.

Note. Only one instance of the wildcard character ("*") is accepted. If two or more asterisks
are used, "Illegal Syntax" error appears. Therefore, for example, A*BD, AB*D, or ABD* is
supported. However, A*B*D or AB**D is not supported. For more information on Wild Card
