SERVER Commands
SERVER Commands
From TS/MP 2.4, the execution flow of the following SERVER commands has been
changed to support online upgrade feature:
•
ALTER SERVER
•
FREEZE SERVER
•
START SERVER
•
STOP SERVER
•
THAW SERVER
The following scenarios describe the execution flow of the above listed commands:
•
After issuing the OPEN command with domain name:
when a SERVER command is issued for a server class, the PDMCOM first
communicates with the ACS subsystem to check if the server class is locked and
whether the command can be executed. It fails with an error when any other
SERVER command is in progress for the same server class.
•
After issuing the OPEN command with pathmon name:
when a SERVER command is issued for a server class, the PDMCOM first
communicates with the ACS subsystem to verify if the command can be executed.
It fails with an error when any other SERVER command is in progress for the same
server class.
Note. If PDMCOM fails to communicate with the ACS subsystem, it executes a command
with information message.
