Migration Considerations
$ZZKRN process to use the ROUT program file residing at the current SYSnn
subvolume. The TS/MP 2.0 LINKMON or ROUT program file is always
installed at current
SYSnn, and the $ZZKRN process always uses the ROUT
program file at the current
SYSnn subvolume to start the ROUT process during
the system load, or a processor reload, or when the ROUT process must be
restarted. As a result, the
$ZZKRN process acts as the process manager for
TS/MP 2.0 LINKMON or ROUT process. Once the TS/MP 2.0 LINKMON or
ROUT processes are started (by the
$ZZKRN process), they cannot be stopped
using TACL STOP command. Also, TS/MP 2.0 LINKMON or ROUT process
disables its stop mode and this prevents the SCF ABORT PROCESS
$ZZKRN.#ROUT command from stopping the ROUT process. After installation
of the TS/MP 2.3, and before system loading, logon with
SUPER.SUPER and
rename the TS/MP 2.3 ROUT program file as follows:
TACL>RENAME $SYSTEM.<SYSnn>.ROUT,
$SYSTEM.<SYSnn>.<renamed-file>
where <SYSnn> is the latest SYSnn subvolume in which TS/MP 2.3 ROUT
program file is present.
b. After system loading, the TS/MP 2.0 LINKMON or ROUT entry must be deleted
