Starting the ACS Subsystem ($ZACS)
Starting the ACS Subsystem ($ZACS)
This step starts the ACS subsystem. When this step is completed, the ACS subsystem
functions can be used by Pathsend applications.
Procedure:
Use the
SCF START command interactively or in an OBEY file, as follows:
START ACS $ZACS
The START command starts the configuration subscriber, process broker, and
redirector process in each processor in the system. When the configuration subscriber
is successfully started, it identifies the associated log files and builds the internal
configuration.
Use the
STATUS command to monitor the progress of the START command, as follows:
STATUS ACS $ZACS
If you use an OBEY file, include some delay time between the START command and
the subsequent SCF commands.
Starting TS/MP PATHMON and Requesters
For applications that use Pathsend requesters, you must start the $ZACS process and
the ACS subsystem before starting
PATHMON processes and your applications. For
information on starting
PATHMON, see the TS/MP System Management Manual.
