TS/MP Release Supplement

SCF Command Reference for the ACS Subsystem
HP NonStop TS/MP Release Supplement546055-006
8-2
Architecture
The ACS subsystem-specific SCF commands control and inquire about the ACS
object. This section describes the SCF commands that are interpreted specifically for
ACS. The
SCF Reference Manual provides general information about SCF commands.
You must be familiar with the SCF commands before reading the ACS subsystem-
specific information provided here.
Architecture
As shown in Figure 8-1, the SCF interface locates and communicates with the
appropriate product module, in this case the ACS Subsystem Product Module
(ACSPM). The SCF utility provides an operational interface to an intermediate process,
the Subsystem Control Point (SCP), which communicates with the domain coordinator
process,
$ZACS. The domain coordinator is run as a NonStop process pair that is
maintained by the Persistent Manager process
$ZPM, which provides the Subsystem
Programmatic Interface (SPI) to support the SCF commands.
The SCF process determines which subsystem runs the command (the ACS
subsystem in this case). It launches the product module responsible for that subsystem
