Who Should Read This Manual
This manual is intended for those individuals responsible for starting, configuring, and
managing a PATHMON environment, using the PATHCOM interactive interface. It is
assumed that readers have a general knowledge of NonStop software programming
concepts.
The task-oriented section of this manual are also intended for individuals writing
programs to manage server classes in a PATHMON environment programmatically.
Such programmers also need the reference information in the TS/MP Management
Programming Manual, and, if they are using TS/MP 2.3 and later versions, the TS/MP
Release Supplement. Programmers using Pathway/iTS must also refer the
Pathway/iTS Management Programming Manual.
How This Manual Is Organized
The first section of this manual is an overview of the Pathway system management.
The next six sections are organized according to tasks you perform as a system
manager or operator. The remaining sections provide reference information (syntax
and complete descriptions) about the PATHCOM commands for configuring and
managing a PATHMON environment and about displayed or logged messages.

Describes how to monitor and maintain your PATHMON
environment and how to reconfigure the environment for
improved performance and response time.
Section 6, Managing
the Pathsend
Environment
Discusses the Pathsend environment, which consists of
Pathsend processes and LINKMON processes or ACS
subsystem processes, and the tasks you perform to manage
that environment.
