PATHMON Messages
Recovery. Determine why the PATHMON process abended by checking the NonStop
Kernel errors in messages logged just before this message, then restart the PATHMON
environment. If you cannot determine the cause of the error, contact your HP
representative and provide all relevant information as follows:
•
Descriptions of the problem and accompanying symptoms
•
Details from the message(s) generated
•
Your PATHMON configuration file and PATHMON process version
•
A description of the application task that was in progress when the error was
encountered
•
Supporting documentation such as Event Management Service (EMS) logs, trace
files, and dump files, if applicable
If your local operating procedures require contacting the Global Customer Support
Center (GCSC), supply your system number and the numbers and versions of all
related products as well.

Cause. A server class link cannot be granted to a LINKMON process or a TCP .
Effect. The Pathsend statement or SEND operation fails.
Recovery. For additional information, see the description associated with the nested
message.
1008
Cause. The PATHMON configuration file does not exist or you used the ! option when
performing a cool start.
Effect. The PATHMON environment does not start.
Recovery. Reenter your PATHMON environment configuration, assign a valid
configuration file, or perform a cold start.
1009
Cause. The SET PATHWAY command cannot be run while the PATHMON process is
in the RUNNING state.
