SET Command
X3PAD Parameters and Parameter Values
The X3PAD parameters supported for the X25AM subsystem are described below.
ADDRESS.
Remote network address. It can be set only if no call is in progress. If an attempt is
made to set it while a call is in progress, this message is written to the OUT file:
ERROR: ADDRESS CANNOT BE SET WHILE A CALL IS IN PROGRESS.
BREAK.
If the BREAK key is pressed while X3PAD is in the data transfer state, the following
actions can be taken, depending on which values have been specified:
DISCARD:
Set DISCARD ON.
ESCAPE:
Enter the command state.
LINEFOLD integer | NONE
LINEKILL character
NOTIFY ON | OFF
PARITY ODD | EVEN | NONE
PROMPT ON character | OFF
SEND CR | ETX | NONE
SPEED number BPS
character can be any graphic character enclosed in quotation marks or an ASCII
mnemonic for a nongraphic character. A quotation mark itself is
indicated by four consecutive quotation marks.
integer is a decimal integer within the range of 0 through 255.
number is a decimal rational number.
address is a sequence of decimal digits interspersed with hyphens. (The
hyphens and their placements are insignificant; their purpose is merely
to enhance legibility.)
Note. For the ITI interface only: If no PAD parameters are specified for the line or subdevice,
ITI requests the PAD to insert LF after CR is received from the terminal.
