SET Command
LINEKILL.
If EDITING is ON, reads specified character from IN file, and all characters
currently in the buffer are discarded.
Default value is CANCEL.
NOTIFY.
If ON, status indication is written to OUT file whenever a change occurs in the
status of the current call. For example, if NOTIFY is ON and the remote DTE
changes the value of an operational parameter, a status indication is written. If
NOTIFY is OFF, any indication of change in status is suppressed.
Default value is ON.
PARITY.
Parity can be set for data being sent to the network.
Default value is NONE.
PROMPT.
If ON, a prompt character is written to the terminal when X3PAD expects
terminal command input. If no character is specified, the previously chosen
prompt character is used.
If OFF, the prompt is suppressed. Because the remote DTE can turn off the
prompt, it is recommended that the PROMPT parameter be left ON.
Default value is ON character.
SEND.
Causes X3PAD to assemble characters from IN file until a full packet is created or
until a specified character is detected. In either case, assembled characters are
then transmitted to the network. Normally the terminal user presses character to
indicate the end of a multi-character message.
Default is CR (carriage return).
SPEED.
Indicates transmission speed (bits per second) of the medium used by X3PAD to
communicate with the terminal. The value depends on the terminal type.
This value can be shown with the SHOW command. It cannot be set. An error
message is written to OUT file if you attempt to set it:
