Clear Indication Packet
or unsupported facility codes are ignored. Supported facilities are described in Per Call
Facilities on page 1-16
Call User Data
Data can be present only as a response to a Call Request with fast select.
Clear Indication Packet
A Clear Indication Packet is sent by the remote DTE when it wants to Clear the call.
The cause and diagnostic code must be present (must be part of the packet contents).
If extended format is enabled, address, facilities, and user data can be present.
DTE Clear Confirmation Packet
This packet is issued by X25AM and is always three bytes long.
Clear Request Packet
This packet always has a cause value of zero and a diagnostic code.
Applications using PTP mode 2 can cause address, facilities, and data values to be
included in the packet.
DCE Clear Confirmation Packet
If extended format is enabled, the packet can contain called and calling address and
facilities fields.
Restart, Clear, and Reset Cause and Diagnostic Packets
X25AM always uses a cause value of zero, even when configured as a DCE. For a list
of diagnostic codes used by X25AM, see Appendix B, Diagnostic Codes for X25AM. A
list of cause and diagnostic codes used by a network should be obtained from the
network.
Subscription Parameters
The subscriber chooses the subscription parameters when first subscribing to a
network. Some of the parameter values are determined by the network. The rest are
determined by the user. X25AM support determines which value or possible values are
valid for the X25AM process.
While these parameters usually are set during system configuration, or upon
subscribing to a specific network, you may want to know about the various parameters
and possible settings if you write or support an X25AM application program. The
remainder of this subsection summarizes each parameter and notes recommended
settings, where applicable.
